7 Things To Do With Your Week in Cornwall

1)  Wake up slowly.

Savour the fresh Atlantic Ocean air. Enjoy the calming sound of the waves lapping outside against the craggy coastline. It’s an unfamiliar novelty that you’ll miss when you’re back in city life. Our 5* Self-catering cottages by the sea (below) are perfect for a private coastal getaway right by the sea, for couples, friends or families. Or let us look after you with our Hotel’s 5* service in one of our individually designed luxury hotel rooms.

2)  SUP, Surf, Coasteer.

With a coastline of around 300 miles and beaches facing every point of the compass, Cornwall offers lots of options for water-based activities. Newquay, in particular, is the seafaring heritage of Cornwall; from the ‘lost harbour of refuge’ at Little Fistral to the ‘smuggler’s haunt’ and of course, Newquay’s working shellfish harbour. SUPing around the coastline on our doorstep is not only a delightful way to spend a hot summers day but a beautiful way to discover our coastline’s history.

Why not try your hand at surfing? With Fistral Beach right on your doorstep – one of the world’s top surfing destinations, backed by high cliffs and sand dunes – it’s the perfect spot to score some waves.

A little more adventurous? The rocky outcrops next to The Headland make the perfect playground for an exhilarating session of coasteering. Swim, climb and jump off rocks. A great option for those adrenaline seekers.

Dom Moore from the Surf Sanctuary is handily situated at The Headland for all your water-based activity needs.
