Cornwall in the spring is fresh and revitalising. The storms take a break (usually), the sun sits higher in the sky, and the sea calms itself if its playing nicely. A great time for coast walking and exploring before high season hits. In summer the beaches fill with families and surfers, there are day trips out of Newquay harbour, sightseeing and fishing, and long balmy evenings sipping cocktails on The Headland's famous Terrace overlooking Fistral.
Right on our doorstep, you really can’t miss it, is Newquay’s, and possibly Cornwall’s, most iconic beach - Fistral. It is quite simply one of the most consistent and best surfing beaches in the UK and Europe.
There are so many puns we could go for here - you two were mermaid for each other, let’s shellebrate because there’s two less fish in the sea. Don’t worry, beach happy etc, etc. But really it downplays the magic of a beachside wedding.
