Join Blystra Arts for an evening of celebration to mark the 200th anniversary of the journey of the first passenger train, a key moment in the development of train travel and in the history of our country.

The evening will feature performance, poetry, film and stories of Newquay railway, its branch line and people, highlighting the local impact of the railway here in Newquay.

Blystra has partnered with local organisations to deliver this fantastic event, including Rooted Media, Groundswell CIC, Newquay Tretherras, Bounce Dance Academy and Cornwall Youth Theatre Company.

Much of the content from this project has been made possible with support from Newquay Museum, a key partner of the project.

The project is funded by Great Western Railway and hosted by The Headland, as part of our 125th anniversary celebrations.
