Are offers available for both hotel rooms and cottages?
Most offers are applicable to hotel stays only. However, select offers (such as our Storm Watching offer) are also available when booking a cottage.
How far in advance should I book a seasonal package?
Seasonal packages have specific validity windows and can sell out, so booking early is recommended.
Can I upgrade my room after booking an offer?
Yes, room upgrades are available after booking, subject to availability and any difference in price.
Are all rooms and cottages dog friendly?
Yes, both our rooms and cottages are dog-friendly.
What's the difference between a 'Stay' and an 'Offer' on this page?
Stays are standard rate options (like Bed & Breakfast), while Offers are curated packages with added inclusions such as dinner credits, spa treatments or a percentage saving.
What is the minimum night stay for the hotel and cottages
Hotel Rooms: A 2-5-night minimum stay applies during peak periods
Cottages: A 3-night minimum stay applies year-round

Is The Headland Hotel suitable for families?
Yes. Families have always been well looked after here; spacious rooms and suites, the AquaClub's indoor and outdoor pools, kids' clubs and holiday activities and direct access to Fistral Beach. The self-catering Headland Cottages are worth a look too if you want extra space of your own.
Is The Headland Hotel suitable for couples?
Yes. It's long been a favourite for romantic breaks; sea-view rooms and suites, some with balconies over Fistral Beach, plus the AquaClub's adults' pool and spa treatments for slowing down together. Restaurant Renmor and the Terrace do well for a shared dinner and the coastal path right outside the door makes for an easy sunset walk. The Headland Cottages are also worth considering for a longer stay with more privacy.
Are accessible rooms available?
Yes. We have accessible rooms for guests with mobility requirements. Let our reservations team know your needs when booking so we can find the right room for you.
Can I amend my booking?
It depends on the rate you booked. Flexible rates can usually be changed free of charge up to a set period before arrival; non-refundable rates are more restricted. Contact our reservations team to talk through your booking.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes, we offer gift vouchers for stays, dining and spa experiences, a popular option for birthdays and anniversaries.
Is The Headland open all year?
Yes, The Headland is open all year, though individual restaurants or facilities sometimes close for scheduled maintenance.
When was The Headland Hotel built?
The Headland was built between 1897 and 1900 and is a Grade II listed building.
Was The Witches filmed at The Headland?
Yes. The 1990 film adaptation of Roald Dahl's The Witches, starring Anjelica Huston and Rowan Atkinson, was filmed here.
