An engaging, hands-on 1-hour session introducing children aged 7+ to ocean safety and coastal awareness. The expert instructors at Surf Sanctuary run sessions between the red and yellow flags on the beach directly below the hotel. Kids (and their attending parent) will get suited up in wetsuits and participate in fun, skill-building beach and shallow water exercises – including how to float, body surf, move safely through waves, and understand rip currents.

Where tide and conditions allow, we’ll also include a mini rockpool ramble, with a light ecological focus on respecting and protecting our shoreline wildlife.

These sessions are a great way to build water confidence, learn essential beach safety skills, and enjoy our incredible coastline. Complimentary for all hotel and cottage residents.
