Cornwall Sustainability Awards

The Headland wins Most Sustainable Large Organisation in Cornwall!

December 2025

It’s not about the awards, but….

We have claimed another prize for our efforts in sustainability, being crowned Most Sustainable Large Organisation in Cornwall!

The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Sustainability Awards (CSA) took place last week at the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth.

The award comes just weeks after we won Sustainable Hotel of the Year at the Hotel Cateys and further recognises our commitment to sustainability and growth.

Our sustainability lead, Bethany Branigan: “To have the judges recognise the effort we’re putting in to make a real difference, not just for us, but for the community and the planet, is genuinely amazing.

This award gives us the energy to push even harder next year!"

Launched in 2002, the CSA is the county’s leading event for celebrating those who are making a real difference in balancing profit and planet across the region.

We join an illustrious list of previous winners at the CSA, including Finisterre, Waterhaul and the St Eval Candle Company.

The Most Sustainable Organisation category was looking for organisations that demonstrate best practice for the benefit of the environment, their employees and the wider community.

The awards encourage, reward and recognise organisations in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly for their outstanding contributions to a more sustainable, climate-resilient future. They focus on environmental growth, resource efficiency, circular economy and carbon neutrality.

Loic Rich, Cornwall Council cabinet member for environment and climate change and one of the awards judges, said:

"The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Sustainability Awards celebrate our collective, sustainable vision for the region and the planet.

These awards showcase our community efforts to repair and heal nature, right here across our Duchy, but with a global vision."

“To have the judges recognise the effort we’re putting in to make a real difference, not just for us, but for the community and the planet, is genuinely amazing.”
