Wanderlust Travel Green List
The Headland Makes Sustainable Travel List
We are thrilled to announce that we have been named on Wanderlust’s Travel Green List™ 2025 in the ‘Responsible Sleeps’ category – a global showcase of 50 destinations, places to stay and experiences that demonstrate how travel can be a force for good.
Our inclusion recognises our continued efforts to embed sustainability and social responsibility across all areas of the hotel.
We’re particularly proud that Wanderlust highlighted our strong commitment to local employment and community impact throughout Newquay and Cornwall.
Sustainability Lead, Beth Branigan said: “I’m so excited to be featured in a prestigious list, it is still relatively early in our sustainability journey so to be included is a great early reward, we are really happy with this recognition and look forward to keeping the journey going.”
Today, 82% of our team members live within 12 miles of the hotel, helping to strengthen the local economy and reduce commuting emissions.
We also maintain a balanced 50:50 gender ratio across all levels of the business, championing equality and diversity in the workplace.
From sourcing local and sustainable produce such as honey from The Rescued Bee to protecting our natural surroundings through beach cleans, No Mow May and with organisations like the National Lobster Hatchery, we strive to show that luxury hospitality and environmental responsibility can thrive side by side.
The exclusive list features hotels from each continent and we are just one of four UK-based venues.
Launched in 2023, The Travel Green List is a unique annual guide to what’s fresh and inspiring in sustainable travel for conscious travellers around the world.

“We are really happy with this recognition and look forward to keeping the journey going!”
