Experienced hotelier joins the team at The Headland for next stage of excellence

The award-winning family-owned Cornish hotel, The Headland, has appointed experienced hotelier, Jason Adams, to its leadership team, in pursuit of its goal to become the premier luxury resort in the Southwest. Adams, known for his distinguished leadership in luxury hotel resorts, will assume the role of interim Managing Director for a six-month period.

Having garnered acclaim as the Independent Hotel of the Year, The Headland is confident that Adam's extensive expertise, gained over a successful career that includes a four-year tenure at County Durham’s AA five red-star resort, Rockliffe Hall, will significantly contribute to the hotel's next stage of success.

Jason Adams has held key roles at renowned establishments such as Rockliffe Hall, Foxhills Club and Resort, the Arden Hotel, the Atlantic Hotel and Ocean Restaurant in Jersey, and Seaham Hall in County Durham, contributing to his successful and diverse career in the hospitality industry.

Jason added: I am delighted to be welcomed by Veryan and the family to oversee the next chapter of this wonderful property. I have holidayed here a few years now and always admired the way things were run, the location and the investment, and I hope to make further strides with the team and the hotels commercial direction.

For a remarkable 45 years, The Headland has stood as a cherished family-owned haven, and in now steadfast in its commitment to embodying the essence of 'five-star Cornwall, not formal.'

In a transformative move in 2023, the hotel dedicated £3 million to unveil the stunning Restaurant RenMor, replacing its former restaurant, The Samphire. This strategic renovation aligns with a comprehensive development plan, which saw the inauguration of the AquaClub in 2020, a cutting-edge wellness facility crafted at a cost of £10 million.

Amassing accolades in recent years, The Headland was proudly crowned Best Spa in the Southwest 2023 at the Good Spa Guide Awards for the second consecutive year.
