Our commitment to…
The National Trust looks after places of historic interest or natural beauty. Perched as we are on the iconic North Cornwall coast, this is of huge importance to us and we worked with the charity for several years.
When you stay at The Headland you are invited to make a donation of £1 upon check-out. This, along with several raffle fund-raising activities, meant that from 2014 – 2017 we have been able to present four cheques to the Trust – totalling more than £40,000. Some of the projects our guests have contributed to include:
Repaired and widened a section of slumped coast path at Porthcothan Bay.
Replacement fencing and footbridge repairs Holywell, along with regular litter picking.
Conservation work to the ash trees at the round garden in Crantock village.
We would like to say a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all guests for helping to keep the coastlines and footpaths accessible for residents and visitors from far and wide.
We are now moving to support another important local charity, the Cornwall Community Foundation.
