Celebrate Cornwall
Ahead of the summer season, we wanted to share some of our favourite places in our beautiful county.
These are the spots that we like to head to on our days off and love sharing them with our guests.
Some require a drive and some are closer to us but all of them are very special.
The Roseland Peninsula (30-minute drive)
The Roseland Peninsula is a hidden gem on the Cornish south coast. Think rolling countryside, pretty villages like St Mawes and Portscatho and peaceful beaches, perfect for a slower pace of life. It’s a place to wander, take in the views and soak up some of Cornwall’s most unspoilt and picturesque coastal scenery.
Crantock Beach (10-minute drive)
A massive hit with locals. Crantock Beach is a wide and sandy haven perfect for lazy days and salty adventures. Backed by dunes and framed by the Gannel Estuary, it’s ideal for swimming, surfing or simply soaking up the sun. It feels a little off the beaten track, peaceful, beautiful and properly Cornish.
Pedn Vounder (one- hour drive)
Tucked away beneath towering cliffs, Pedn Vounder feels like a secret paradise. With golden sand, crystal-clear waters and dramatic scenery, it’s one of Cornwall’s most beautiful beaches. It’s a bit of a scramble to reach but well worth it for the views and peaceful atmosphere. It feels like it belongs to another planet.
Padstow (30-minute drive)
Padstow has made a name for itself as a foodie hotspot but it’s so much more than just great restaurants. Explore the Cornish harbour, stroll the nearby coastal paths or simply sit with an ice cream and watch the world go by. Padstow’s lively and welcoming atmosphere makes it a must-visit.
Pentire Peninsula (15-minute walk)
The Pentire Peninsula is a stunning stretch of coastline just across the way from us, be sure to wave back from your walk. It’s a brilliant spot for catching a sunset, spotting wildlife or just escaping the crowds. Don’t miss the views from Pentire Point — they’re some of Cornwall’s best.
