Aqua Club Leisure Attendant

We have an exciting new role for a Leisure Attendant to ensure areas of the Aqua Club including the facilities, cleanliness and safety never fail to meet our 5-star standards. The Aqua Club, our new multi-million-pound leisure complex at The Headland, contains five pools, a sun terrace with impressive ocean views, and a stunning new restaurant named The Deck.
As a Leisure Attendant, you will know and understand what it means to deliver genuine hospitality and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding guest’s expectations within your role. You will be confident in promoting a friendly and relaxing environment for our guests and Aqua Club members whilst they use the Aqua Club facilities.
Your main responsibilities as a Leisure Attendant include ensuring an adequate number of towels for constant daily use in the Aqua Club and maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and presentable appearance of the pools, changing rooms and the surrounding areas. When instructed by the Pool Plant Operator, you will be responsible for measuring the chlorine and Ph levels of the pools under your supervision, and then documenting readings in a logbook.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work. You will be flexible, not afraid to get your hands dirty and have a keen eye for detail. Here at The Headland, we work as a team, so a team-player mindset will greatly benefit you in this role.
Previous experience in a similar role within the leisure industry is desirable but full training on our weird and wonderful ways will be provided!

Night Cleaner

We have an opportunity for a night owl to join our Housekeeping team. As our Night Cleaner you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the pool and all areas of the brand-new Aqua Club to a 5* standard.

Assistant Finance Manager

Full time  / Permanent

Salary £23,500 pa

Responsible for: Accounts team
Reports to: Finance Manager
Principal purpose: To process payroll, reconcile the bank account and perform daily revenue audits.
To assist in the supervision of the accounts team, ensuring that all day to day tasks are completed.
To aid the Finance Manager as required.

Area of Responsibility/Tasks

Supervision of the Finance Team

• Ensure the team are fully trained to perform their duties and that all tasks are carried out in line with current company procedures.
• Ensure that work loads are evenly distributed and cover for team members during absences.
• Ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner and that they are prioritized correctly.
• Oversee and assist the Purchase Ledger function.
• Oversee and assist the Purchase Order function.
• Oversee and assist the Daily Banking function.
• Oversee and assist with the Food, Beverage and Spa stock-takes
• Oversee and assist the recording of revenue write-offs to ensure that they are correctly documented and authorised.

Payroll

• Responsible for processing company’s payroll every pay period.
• Responsible for maintaining payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating and inputting data.
• Responsible for computing employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits and taxes.
• Answers staff questions and queries about wages, deductions, attendance and time records.
• Adheres to payroll policies and procedures and complies with relevant laws.
• Honours confidentiality of employees’ pay records.
• Responsible for creating payroll reports for record-keeping purposes and managerial review.
• Responsible for determining organisation’s tax obligations by calculating and paying PAYE, National Insurance and Pension contributions on time.
• Responsible for distribution of wages to employees on time at all times.
• Highlight any excessive working hours to the Finance Manager which pose a potential breach in National Minimum/Living Wage.

Income Audit

Review our systems to ensure that revenue is recorded accurately. This includes:
• Reconciling our Spa & F&B tills against revenue recorded by our Property Management System.
• Review of deposits & no shows.
• Review of our guest ledger & non-resident accounts.
• Review of write-offs/refunds
• Review of Events postings
• Liaise with and assist HOD’s and Managers to ensure systems are in place to maximise revenue capture.

Sales Ledger

• Send monthly statements to our customers.
• Chase payment & deal with queries as required.

Month-End / Year-End

• To assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts as required.
• To assist the Finance Manager with the reconciliation of control accounts as part of the Balance Sheet review as required.
• To assist the Finance Manager with the completion of the Year-End file in preparation for the annual audit as required.
• To oversee and assist with the food, beverage and spa stock takes.

General

• To keep the Finance Manager informed regarding Accounts/Finance matters.
• To deputise for the Finance Manager at internal meetings (morning meeting and HOD’s) during absences and when required.
• To provide support as and when required to the Senior Management Team, this may include project work.
• To actively use the online learning platform ‘Flow Hospitality Training’, to enhance your skills and knowledge by completing any set training modules.
