Located right at the forefront of the Cornish coastline, Boardmasters Festival is the highly anticipated festival of the year. Taking place over four days in August, Boardmasters isn’t just a live music event attracting the hottest global acts. The music festival transforms Newquay into a bustling surf village with surfing, skateboarding and BMX competitions, wellbeing workshops, art installations and after-parties; making Boardmasters the perfect festival for families and couples alike.
Make the most of your summer by joining in the unforgettable week of live music. Boardmasters Festival takes place over 11 different stages with a range of acts from international headliners to local acoustic performers. Most of the action takes place at picturesque Watergate Bay, but the beats can be felt across Newquay with music events taking place all over town. Previous headliners include The Chemical Brothers, George Ezra, Jamiroquai, Stormzy, Rag N Bone Man, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and Kano. Check out the Boardmasters site for the latest lineup.
Right out front of The Headland is the world-famous surfing spot, Fistral Beach. During Boardmasters Festival, Fistral Beach is a hub of activity, hosting pro surf, skate and BMX competitions, live music and DJ sets, visual arts, and beach yoga. It’s a cool spot to hang out during the festival, day or night.
Whether you’re looking to re-energise or try something new, there are lots of alternative activities during Boardmasters too. Yoga, reflexology, craft workshops and inspirational talks are just a few of the things on offer. And while you listen to the chillout tunes, there’s art and aerial displays to keep you entertained too.
The five-star accommodation of The Headland is the perfect choice for people who want to make the most of Boardmasters’ music, competitions and vibes while having a luxurious haven to retreat to at the end of the day.
