At The Headland, we constantly strive to do the best we can in supporting organisations that benefit our industry and the incredible workers within it. Hospitality is a vibrant, rewarding and fast-paced world but it can also be physically demanding and high-pressure. That’s why we are always thinking of creative ways to help out where we can.

If you’ve visited us recently, you might have noticed a delicious new way to give back. We have started donating 50p from every scoop of ice cream sold directly to Hospitality Action. It means that while you enjoy a sweet treat overlooking Fistral Beach, you’re helping to fund this incredible organisation.

For those who may not be familiar with their work, Hospitality Action is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting current and former employees in the hospitality industry. They offer all sorts of advice and support for those experiencing sudden financial hardship, physical illness, bereavement or mental health struggles. Hospitality Action is there to provide 24/7 physical, financial and psychological support.

As Hospitality Action is a charity, every penny invested into their EAP model goes right back into funding emergency grants and crisis services for the wider hospitality community. It’s an incredible ecosystem of care that we are immensely proud to support!

Last year, our Family Director Veryan Palmer, embarked on a tough 379km cycle challenge to raise much-needed funds and awareness for Hospitality Action. Pedalling hundreds of kilometres was no small feat, however, it perfectly sums up our team's dedication to going the extra mile for this cause. Veryan’s adventure raised Hospitality Action nearly £3000.
