The start of your Cornish Christmas
Wednesday 23rd December
Arrive at The Headland and take a tour of our five bubble rated spa and gym located on the lower ground floor, before settling in and taking time to gaze at the multitude of Christmas trees laden with decorations. Check in, relax and prepare for some family fun.
That evening enjoy the start of something simply magical - a true Cornish Christmas.
Enjoy a delicious locally sourced Cornish menu, especially designed by our Executive Chef Christopher Archambault, whilst taking in the Celtic sounds of live music provided by Ceilidh band The Brim.
Following this feast excite your palette further with Cornish Mead and wine tasting with local expert Stuart Douglas.
Thursday 24th December
The excitement is building, and what better way to start your stay than with a full English breakfast in The Restaurant, served from 8.00am – 10.30am.
Have a day of fun and relaxation before joining your fellow guests for a special festive afternoon tea at 3.00pm in the front lounge. Newquay Brass Band will be in house to get the festivities in full swing.
Father Christmas might even be popping in before he starts his very busy Christmas Eve deliveries.
A black tie reception with canapes then begins at 6:30pm with entertainment by jazz pianist Simon Latarche, before a wonderful four-course candlelit dinner in the restaurant.
A list of midnight church services will be available at Reception, with complimentary mulled wine and mince pies for those returning in the early hours.
Friday 25th December
Wake up on Christmas morning to a scrumptious breakfast and enjoy a complimentary glass of Bucks Fizz. The Armstrong family will be giving out a Christmas gift during breakfast. Father Christmas will also be making an appearance to those of you who have been good all year round!
After breakfast escape for an appetite building swim in the spa pool and relax in the Cornish salt steam room before joining us for a Champagne reception at midday.
From 1.00pm The Restaurant will open for a delicious Christmas Day Lunch; a fantastic five course traditional festive feast with coffee and petit fours to be enjoyed in the front lounge afterwards.
The Queen’s Speech will be broadcast in the Ballroom at 3.00pm.
A delicious lighter evening pantry buffet will be in The Restaurant from 6.30pm.
Saturday 26th December
Cornwall comes alive on Boxing Day with a huge variety of events and fun throughout the county, from watching a 'meet of hounds' at The Jamaica Inn to a trip on the Bodmin Steam railway with Santa and mince pies.
Festive Afternoon Tea will be served in the front lounge and the Ballroom.
Dinner will be served from 6.00pm in The Restaurant, and will involve some lighter dishes for those who have over indulged a little!
