An exciting opportunity has arisen at The Headland Hotel & Spa for a full time Duty Manager to join the team. Our Duty Managers assist the wider team in delivering 5-star service to every guest – every time. You will be responsible for the delivery of the highest levels of customer service to all users, guests and members of The Headland and will be the first and main point of contact for all queries within the facility.

Our ideal candidate…
We are looking for someone to take the lead role in delivering 5* service, ensuring our team are in the right place at the right time. You will be proactive and confident in monitoring and acting on guest feedback and complaints, and intercepting issues as and when they arise before they become a complaint.
You will have strong organisational skills, with the ability to look and plan ahead for all aspects of the business. You will engage and inspire our team, acting as a role model at all times. With a positive mindset and excellent attention to detail, you will ensure our team and hotel are immaculately presented. This is a fast paced and dynamic role which requires those who are quick thinking problem solvers and work efficiently and effectively under pressure.
Previous experience in a similar role within a 4 or 5* hotel would be advantageous. Food and beverage experience is preferred, but not essential.
Salary and Contract
This is a full time, permanent role with a salary from £24,752 per annum (dependant on experience) paid monthly
The Headland have a team of Duty Managers carrying out a range of functions to ensure seamless service is delivered. Working hours are 42.5 per week over 5 days.
The team work on shifts which vary normally set around the ‘early’ or the ‘late’ and there is the occasional ‘mid shift. The hours for these shifts are base on either 7.30am - 4.30pm, 2.30pm - 11.30pm or Midday until 9pm.
This is a permanent, year-round position based on a 42.5 hour working week.
