12th October 2012

We are proud to announce our success at the Cornwall Tourism Awards.

The wait is over, the scores are in and the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2012 shortlist has been announced. We are proud to announce that The Headland is a finalist in the Large Hotel of the Year category. Plans are now in full swing for the Grand Awards Dinner on Thursday 8th November at The Headland, when the winners will be announced and crowned category champions. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Cornwall Wildlife Trust the awards will be presented this year by Wildlife TV presenter Nick Baker who will present the Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies to winners across the 16 categories, along with several ‘special’ awards.  Until then, finalists will have to wait in suspense to find out what award they have won.
Darryl Reburn, General Manager at The Headland said,

‘We are absolutely delighted to have been selected as a finalist in the 2012 Cornwall Tourism Awards. These are very exciting times for The Headland, our hugely loyal guests, managers and team have seen the benefits of a continuously evolving and extensive investment programme by the Armstrong family. This year has seen the addition of a beautiful Wellness Area and a stunning Headland Spa opening during 2013.

As always the success of any hospitality business remains the same as it always has done; offering exceptional levels of service which exceed guest expectations, recognising the importance of developing committed staff, and finally offering the guest the experience they are looking for, and here at The Headland we strive to do just that.‘
