Sunday lunch in style

Enjoy a traditional Sunday roast with a twist. During winter, Sunday Storm Watching lunches are served in The Sand Brasserie. Watch the white horses charging shore-wards, the rain hammering the windowpanes and the Atlantic storms crash into the rugged Cornish coastline. And from your cosy grandstand seat you can tuck into a traditional Sunday lunch, sip on the fine wines from around the world and enjoy the accompanying melodies of the resident pianist.

The Sand Brasserie at the Headland Hotel is one of Newquay's finest restaurants by the beach where you will find the best local produce cooked to perfection. Glad rags are optional to bag a table, but you can guarantee that the food served will be dressed to impress. The chefs behind the seasonal menu of Cornish cuisine have won the restaurant many accolades including an AA rosette; this is eating out in Cornwall at its finest. The freshest local ingredients are plucked from as close to the hotel as possible, and the gourmet gems are complemented by the finest global vintages selected from an extensive wine list.

Take a seat in the contemporary Sand Brasserie, where the amazing sand design with two mussel sculptures provide a perfect backdrop for sumptuous dishes, meticulous service and dramatic ocean views. From the extravagant breakfast buffet to the daily-changing menu, expect no less than exquisite tastes in an extraordinary setting, at any time of year.

The taste of Cornwall's coast and countryside

The daily-changing menu offers a mouth-watering selection of the freshest, locally sourced (where possible) meat, seafood and vegetarian options (including the likes of local crab, line caught fish from Newlyn and Cornish beef fillets). A children’s menu is available. And remember to save room for a your favourite dessert – will it be a crumble, tiramisu, Cornish ice cream or a platter of West Country cheeses?

Dinner is served 6.00 - 10pm – you don’t have to book and the dress code is casual. Non-residents are welcome.
